This is extremely rude.
I don’t know about the rest of you but those whom are agreeing with this are just being hypocrites. Surely the majority of you are also part of the THG fandom and didn’t accept Jennifer Lawrence at first. Now all you do is fan over how ‘flawless’ she is and create ‘funny’ edits that get thousands of notes. Give Shailene a chance. “Oh, she’s too pretty to be Tris.” I get that that is a compliment to Shailene herself but how would we know if Tris isn’t pretty at all? As I have mentioned before in another post, Tris is insecure about her looks and about the time when she disagreed with Four about it, he did what a man like him would do. Surely he knew that girls are insecure and some have low self-esteem and a girl with those attributes tend to deny it so many times. Sometimes, a man would get tired of it and just agree with it. I think it’s lovely that he cares about her personality and not her looks. Also, may I remind you that this is hollywood. Every celebrity is beautiful and pretty. Every female protagonist you see in a book that is made into a movie adaptation, whether she be described as “plain, average, ugly, stunning, beautiful, etc” would always be portrayed by a beautiful celebrity. Also, I feel like this is an insult to Veronica Roth. She was happy with the news that Shailene would play the role of Tris. And if the lovely author whom had devoted her time to write a book for young adults to read is happy, so am I.
Apologies for the rant but I’m just so sick and tired of things like this.

3 faces that were once portrayed as Four
I know that in the future, we would look back on the days where we used Steven R McQueen, Drew Roy and Max Irons countless of times in our fanart and stories. They will forever be in our hearts.
